This Ford 427 SOHC Die Cast Replica Engine 1:18 Scale from Liberty Classics is hand assembled with extreme attention to detail, featuring moving and removable parts all made to original specifications!
After leading just one season, Ford's promising 427 wedge was beaten at Daytona by the Chrysler Hemi in 1964. To meet this new competition, Ford secretly developed an overhead cam version of the high performance FE block, the legendary 427 SOHC. The engine has become known as the Cammer.
The Ford 427 SOHC V8 was among the most powerful motors ever to wear the blue oval logo and produced over 400 h.p. in dual carbureted form.
Although best known for providing the motivation for the 427 Cobra, this engine was used in a variety of Ford and Mercury vehicles including the Galaxy, Fairlane, Comet, Mustang, and Cougar. Features: Die cast metal components pre-painted for you in authentic factory colors, dual four barrel carbs and air cleaner on high-rise intake manifold, and engine ignition wiring.
These and many more details have been faithfully executed in this 1/18th scale model.
